Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sheepy-T?

Sheepy-T is an app that runs an instruction-tuned large language model locally on your device. It works offline and does not need internet access.

Who developed Sheepy-T?

Sheepy-T was developed by GPT-4, Midjourney, and Kevin Kwok, with design advice from Gray Crawford, Slim Lim, and Anna Brewer. It's powered by GPT-J, an open-source language model developed by EleutherAI, fine-tuned to handle instructions à la Dolly by Databricks, a clone of Stanford's Alpaca sans Facebook's LLaMA, named for Dolly the sheep clone, itself named after Dolly Parton, as replicated by Brendan Dolan-Gavitt, and quantized to run with GGML by Georgi Gerganov, based on iOS AlpacaChat by Yoshimasa Niwa.
